After giving up all hope early on in my pregnancy I saw an ad on tv the other night for these chewable pregnancy vitamins! Has anyone tried them? I'm pretty keen to give them a go...
I haven't taken anything since I ran out of my Blackmores i-Folic at about 12 weeks because I really struggle getting tablets down. I've always had this problem and it's so frustrating but no matter what I do (or how sick I am and know that taking a pill will make me feel better) I can rarely manage to swallow a pill without gagging or choking Sometimes I feel a bit guilty that I haven't been taking any supplements but I think my diet is better than average so I've been trusting in the knowledge that plenty of women had healthy babies before pre-natal vitamins existed Anyway, if anyone has tried these I'd love to hear what you think of them! |

I take them because I haven't been able to find Cenovis lately and all the others make me throw up. They are very sweet and that fake orange flavour so I guess they have all sorts of additives in them. Also I don't think the vitamin contents are as good as some others. They are very similar to my husband's usual daily vits.

I took them for a while but lately they've been making me vomit, I'll try again now...

I'm taking them at the moment as the Blackmores pregnancy ones made me gag (and I don't normally have an issue swallowing pills - but they're just so damn big!).
They taste ok - very sweet but palatable and hopefully they are doing some good I managed to get them on special at woolies (from memory they were half price) and thought, why not? I took the Blackmore ones up until the 12 week mark and still have some left over and another whole jar of them unopened - not sure what i'm going to do with them! |
