Just realised that my frozen store of breast milk would have spoiled with the power outage due to the storm/flooding in Brisbane. Power was out for 24hrs and stuff in the freezer did defrost in that time. I forgot completely about it. cry1.gif

Ignorance is not a point of view.
Oh no!

Was it excess stored milk, or were you using it?

If you need BM, I have a couple of litres of EBM in my freezer, which was unaffected (and am also in Brisbane).

Oh crap! If I weren't all the way down in NSW, I'd offer you my huge stash if you needed it.

Awww, you guys are amazing! Thank you for the kind offers. They were extras that I had painstakingly accumulated.

I have low supply and need to supplement DD with EBM or formula once or twice a day (and she's still not gaining huge amounts - just 1kg over last 6w).

I should have used them up but I had to work so darn hard to create them, I wanted to keep some tucked away just in case.

I just needed to whine to people that would understand.

If you scald it, it might be OK to use anyway? Try contacting ABA and getting some advice before you dump it!

Oh dear! Definitely try to contact the ABA before you dump it!

EBM can be stored in the fridge for several days before it needs to be thrown out, so it is possible that it is still fine to use.
