Hello all! *waves*

I live in Belco area with my hubby and our 2yo daughter. She was born at home original.gif I'm pregnant with no. 2 and will be going through the birth centre this year. We only moved to Canberra (from the South Coast) when I was pregnant last time so didn't get much time to make friends. We have some fabulous local friends now but we could always do with more local support!! We don't have close relatives in the area either, so I really struggled last time post-birth. It was a very lonely time for me.

I look forward to "meeting" you all here online and hopefully even getting to know some of you IRL later on.

Welcome, Dragon original.gif .

Are you South or Northside? (I'm North).

My first four babies were homebirthed and the last two born in the birth centre.

Spikey, that's very kind, thank yee! However hubs will be working and I won't have the car at that time on Sunday (we share the one car). I think I'd like to meet people a bit more online first too, though - a bit awkward turning up at a meet of strangers with no names to put to faces and no common ground (yet!). I'll get there eventually, though!!

Sorceress - OMG, your hubby is M the Chiro?????????????? I knew you on JB briefly and you recommended him, and I PMed you recently on there (no reply) to tell you I booked an appointment with him. I've been seeing him weekly and just saw him this morning, actually laughing2.gif I'd love to meet up with you one day, I think you'll have a lot of wisdom to share with me. x

Oh, I'm northside - Belconnen area original.gif

I'm so glad I've tracked you down (unintentionally!) K! ddance.gif

Thank you for the lovely welcomes. I also know Steph (with Alex) irl, and I know she used to be very active on here.

I'm guessing EB as a whole has quietened down like other forums have? I had membership a couple of years ago (only about ten posts to my name though!) and thought it was much more active...?

Oh I remember Steph! I hope they're both well biggrin.gif .

Yes, it was much more active on EB a few years ago... I think the overzealous moderation and availability of Facebook have quietened it down a lot sad.gif .

That's such a shame K! Though just a sign of the times I suppose.

Bit disappointed as I went and introduced myself in the Due in Sept. thread and though there are now multiple replies after mine, not one person said hello or welcome to me, and they've just kept on chatting to each other. Whoa. Should I just give up now? dry.gif
