Hi everyone,
I'm due with #3 in 8 weeks. We already have a Madeleine Kalea (Maddy for short) and Luke James. DS2 is due and we are yet to agree on names.
DH is a bit stuck in the 80's-likes names like John (my dads name so would rather not for personal reasons), Damon, Damien, Nathan, Keith (urgh, hate) and one out there choice, Orion. As in the constellation. Great playground beatings on the horizon....
I'm loving:Theodore (Theo)CamdenElliottMaxJacobNoahCole (another family name, but less common)ReidAndrew (Drew)Tobin
Main issues are MIL being incredibly opinionated... Also a three syllable surname, so trying not to be too complicated. Our surname is also a common boys first name:Gregory, so his name needs to be one that doesn't get mixed up all the time.
Also preferably no 'guh' g sounds....
Thanks in anticipation original.gif

Options that might appeal to your DH:

David
James
Jason
Simon
Allan / Allen
Alex(ander)
Christopher

(Actually, I say that but 'Orion' is such an outlier in his list, who knows! biggrin.gif )

Similar to Jacob: Jesse, Jared, Joshua, Josiah.

Similar to Noah: Jonah, Micah, Ezra. I would have said Nathan was pretty comparable? I don't mind either. Nathaniel I slightly prefer to Nathan though.

I like Drew, just Drew, more than Andrew.

I love Tobin.

Owen would be a lot more mellow and non-controversial a pick than Orion, and one I'm quite fond of. I also like Oren/Orin but it's a bit odd (though not compared to Orion).

I don't really like Keith but I love Heath. shrug.gif I also like Corbin/Connor/Cormac which have the same hard K sound, and for actual K names... not many... Kingsley/Kingston is all right though.

I'd prefer Emmett to Elliott. Or Eli?

I'm a bit unsure due to formatting if it were Cole or Reid that's the family name. In any case, I'd be tempted to use whichever of those two that is as a middle, a nice punchy short one that flatters most any first.
