We are gonna have a 6 pack!!!!
Hi all,
We had our 20 week scan last week and this morning I got a call from my doctor's office asking to see me next week ( earliest appointment is Wednesday) sad.gif

Everything seemed fine and nothing was pointed out but now I'm really worried.

At 17 weeks the midwife said the baby was measuring 23 weeks in size but said it could be because of extra space due to 8 other pregnancies.

I'm freaking out big time here !!!

Its always terrifying when you get thise phone calls, hey?!

Try not to stress too much (I know easier said than done!) If it was anything urgent or really worrying they would have you in to see the doctor a lot sooner than next Wednesday! Whenever I've had anything bad come up I've been sent straight from the ultrasound place to my doctors office and they have squeezed me in, regardless of appotntments.

If you're really worried, call them back and tell them and see if get can either get you an earlier appointment, or a phone call, or at least reassure you a bit?

Good luck

Don't spend time worrying. Call back and let them know you're concerned and get a bit more information. If it's nothing, I'm sure the doctor will be able to call you back to reassure you.

Ask for the doc to call you. Say you are very worried. I'm sure that would be understandable.

By Wednesday, do you mean tomorrow or next week Wednesday? No way I could wait another week. I would call back and ask to speak to the doctor because you are worried.

On a positive note, it mustn't be too serious if they have you wait a week?

Bear in mind your doctor may just want to go over the results with you. ith both my pregnancies I had to attend an appointment so they could put on record that they had discussed the results, even though everything was 100% fine.

Don't automatically assume something is wrong.

Dont stress out just yet. With both my pregnancies my doc called my in after each scan to go over the results. It was just standard procedure.

I did have one extra appointment with my first baby but they told me over the phone that they needed to discuss something specific relating to the result. It ended u being something minor which was that one kidney was measuring larger than the other at the 20 week scan. I had another scan at 30 weeks and the problem had corrected itself. She told me this kind of thing happens all the time and not to worry.

Ok called the office back and asked to speak with my doctor but he was busy.

The receptionist moved the appointment forward to this Thursday at 9.40am.
There was a cancellation and my name was next on the list.
She said she's sure it's non urgent or he would have called himself but still it's unnerving

Thanks for the support ladies original.gif

Call your doctor and get him to call you to go over the results over the phone. My ob was happy to do this, he often would email me the 'all okay' upon getting results, and discuss in further detail once we had an appointment. Tell them you are really worried and would like him to call you ASAP. Try not to worry...
