Hi folks, just looking for some advice here. We rescued our neighbours very old cat from the storms last night (we're in Brisbane) and brought him inside. Unfortunately he's peed a few times on the tile floors and even though I've mopped, I can't get rid of the pungent smell!

Any suggestions?

Train your dog, it's worth it!
You need something that will break down the protein in cat pee - Urine Off, Napisan, BioZet, and vinegar will work. UO is the most effective, and you can get it from the hardware store.

Vinegar is the least effective in my opinion, the other two are about the same.

Eucalyptus Oil in the washing water and spray the room with Eucalyptus Spray. This stuff is the best and I have been trying for years to find a good powerful clean smelling spray.

Bio-zet laundry detergent, make it into a paste and spread it over the grout that got peed on. Leave it overnight, then wipe off and mop up the residue.

Cat pee is horrendous to remove, you need a biological cleaner which will break down the protein in it.
