All the kids I know (boys & girls) including my own have Razer scooters. They seem to do the job. Google them for the range and see what you think. Does not need to be anything super fancy for a 6yo so you will probably be looking at $70-100.

DD recently got a Micro Scooter (which I ordered online). They are great IMO, well constructed and high quality. She previously had a Big W one, which did the job, but got wrecked pretty quickly.

DD1 loves her maxi micro. And she's on it Every. Single. Day. It's incredibly sturdy. We will definitely get one for DD2 when the time comes.

I had thought about getting my prep kid a maxi micro so we could scoot to and from school (we handed down his mini micro to his 3 year old brother) but wondered if they would be a bit too babyish?
Glad to hear there are 6 year olds who still like them! |
