> MS WORD HELP!, I urgently need some expert advice

Hi
partway through an assignment and my stupid word keeps turning off the spell and grammar check it is really annoying and I need to get it stay on
Please help me I am shocking with MS

Options -->

Spelling and Grammar--->

click the Check Spelling and Grammar As I Type box

Also remember the help function. Just type a word or two in the search field and it will give you instructions.

Thanks BB I did try the help function it took we thru something different and when I went back the doc it had turned off in the box at the bottom of the page again...

Copy and paste your text to a new document without the original formatting. This really sucks and can be time consuming to reformat but it is what I do as a last resort. Save it with a different name. You could do a google search asking this question and maybe get some bettet advice.

Do you need to do the check as you go, or can you not do it all at the end as you revise and edit?

Personally I hate having it on all the time as I grew up in Canada and the US so often mix words ending in re/er while I type. I also find the constant reminder that I have typed soemthing wrong distracting if I am trying to get a document done in a certain time frame.

Coffee girl sometimes thetr is a glitch in word that prevents spellchecking while you are typing and when you ask it to occur.

katpaws will try yours I really need to check as I type as I have 3 hours to do a 1000 word essay have left home due the river rise and about to cry again anyway...

I am typing so fast am making silly mistakes on keyboard and it just won't recognise them

If you're in Word 2007, go to the office button (top left hand side), click on Word Options, then Proofing. Check that the boxes at the bottom are unticked (hide spelling/grammar in this document).
