I just sent this to a whole heap of friends and was coming to also share it in the Cancer section, but thought I would share with the wider EB community.

This week 7 years ago I received the most devastating news. They say timing is never good, 2 weeks to ds 2nd birthday, 6 weeks to our wedding day, having to cancel our Honeymoon - who ever made up that saying was pretty spot on. Whilst Doctors can rid you of the Cancer, it is never really gone. Not a day goes by it doesn’t impact your life in some way sometimes good, sometimes not so good, it’s a constant reminder that this can happen to anyone at any time. We are lucky we live in a time where prevention, screening and treatment get better by the day, but still not enough for some, I dream of the day the breakthrough is made. In reflecting over the years I have come to appreciate it’s not only me that has gone through this journey, but also my family and friends and I’m not sure how I would of made it this far without each and every one of you! If you take anything from this please remind each other to look after yourselves and don’t put anything off especially regular check-ups at the Doctors because this can happen to anyone....

Wow. 7 Years.

I am so pleased you are becoming stronger each day. You should be so proud of yourself how you have worked through the nightmare, and come out the other side, a different, and wonderful person.

Lots of love and good wishes to you.

Thanks for sharing that with us.
I'm sure your friends and family think you are a great inspiration and think you are as brilliant as you do them.
