Hi Ladies,
I urgently need some IUI advice. I am doing a medicated IUI cycle. Have been having 50iu of Gonal F since CD5 and due to have an ovidrel trigger. I had a scan and blood test on friday and it showed a lovely big 20mm follicle and some smaller ones. Clinic called me to ask me to do an OPK test saturday and sunday and call in with the results. The nurse said I would probably be seeing her over the weekend. The clinic told me to do a second urine test with 3 hour old. So went out shopping came home did the test and its come up positive. I called the emergency clinic mobile to let them know, only to find out the phone is only on between 9-12am. So my question is this - Im ovulating, the clinic like you to do a trigger even if you spontaneously ovulate because they think it helps with the egg blah blah blah. Do you think that because Im surging already that I should do the overdril trigger even though I cant get a hold of the clinic. My thinking is that Im going to ovulate anyway, is it going to hurt if I still trigger, is it going to make me release my egg sooner???? I really dont know what I should do? What is the point of an emergency contact number if its not on!!!!! |

How frustrating!Personally I'd wait till I talked to them in the morning. I would assume they would time your iui 36 hours after the ovidrel so if you use it at the wrong time the iui timing may be messed up (or your dr may not be available etc).Good luck, let us know how you go.
