Hi there,
Im looking for some advise / feedback / opinions. I should be 7 weeks pregnant. I had 1 hour of bright red bleeding this week (enough to fill a pad) and passed three finger sized clots. However the bleeding didn't continue. It only lasted 1 maybe 2 hrs and I had no cramping. I hear that clots and cramping are key sign of miscarriage. I might be kidding myself - but would you assume you miscarried if that happened to you? It felt like a miscarriage. But I don't know. There's a tiny part of me that thinks "maybe" it's ok. Scan planned for next week. Any thoughts opinions appreciated. |

Could be, could not be. Scan is the only way to tell.
My sister bled for days, passed large clots. Later on a scan showed bubs waving back. Fingers crossed for you. |

Get yourself checked out. It really could go either way. I've had bleeding in two of my pregnancies and obviously everything turned out fine. I've also had a miscarriage and it was very different to the bleeding in pregnancy.
Good luck! |

I don't think from the bleeding you have had that you can assume a miscarriage - given you haven't had any pain and the bleeding has stopped. You certainly need to get a check up though, sooner rather than later.
Do you know what blood type you are? If you are a negative blood type, you'll need and anti-d injection, I think they recommend within 24 hours of a bleed. If you don't know, I would suggest heading to a hospital to get checked just in case. Good luck, I hope you get some good news xox |

HI,
Thought I'd let you know. I had a scan and baby is still there! YAY! I have blood clots in my uterus - so not completely out of the woods - I was told it's not ideal to have the clots - but that's what caused the bleeding and clots. I'll head to the GP to discuss what to do about the clots. Thanks for your help and support! |

OP I had a subchorionic haematoma too (blood clot) and lots of continuous bleeding from 6.5wks onwards (big bleed at 7wks and huge bleed at 12wks). All is good now, no bleeding and my little boy is fine in there
Hang in there, bub can be fine even with all the bleeding. Good luck at your GPs |
