Hi everyone.
I will try and keep a long story short, but both my kids were with the help of a FS and involved some kind of fertility treatment to conceive, as you'll see on my sig. Now my DD is 13 months and DH and I are not going to do anymore fertility treatment as we are so blessed to have 2 healthy bubbas but we both agreed if I was to get a BFP naturally then great but if not thats ok too (i hope that makes sense)
Anyway I randomly test here and there ( I had a loss in Oct at 9 weeks) and yesterday I thought i'd do a first response (sorry if TMI, but I normally test from a cup) midstream and after I had gone to toilet i looked at test and thought what a waste hardly any urine made it on the absorbent strip. so i put the lid on and put the test in cupboard. Went to go to bed last night and opened the bathroom cupboard and there was the test witha def BFP. 2 pink lines didn't look anything like an evap line and very definate. Well i didn't tell DH and thought maybe it was faulty due to not much urine on it or something. So before I tell DH I'll do another today, now today I collected urine in a cup and it was not FMU and not very strong (sorry ) but not even a hint of a BFP. completely and utterly a BFN! Now I'm confused.
So, I need to wait to buy more tests But anyone got a similar story? I dont know how long it took to get a BFP because I never checked the test for hours ( I have TTC for 10 years and pee'd on thousands of tests and never had this happen)

Any BFP will come up within a couple of minutes, and most tests are not nessessarily accurate after about 30 minutes (usually lines fading though). The FR midstream is the best one, so your other one may not be picking it up yet, even if you are preg.

Basically, right now it is an unknown, tomorrow morning do a FR midstream, hopefully you get you BFP.

What kind of test was the second one?

I did a test middle of the day with an Internet cheapie, BFN, so I tossed it. Looked at it about 3 hours later and it was a BFP. I got a clear blue digital and it was definitely positive. I'd get another test, a first response or clear blue and test again with FMU. Good luck!

At the moment a lot of FR tests are coming back with false positives it seems.

Either way though, any result shown after the 10 min time frame should be disregarded.

Sounds like your second urine sample may have been too diluted to pick it up. I get darker lines in the afternoon on FR than using FMU. Try to avoid going to the toilet for 2-3 hours with minimal fluid intake and test again with FR or wait and use FMU tomorrow.

Any newws OP?

I always had BFNs with FMU, both my BFPs were with midday wee! You are supposed to diregard results after 10 minutes, but I have looked at tests after that time (of all brands) and they never had a second line. My BFPs never faded either.

Ive just had my very first BFP FR test from FMU, however 2 days later I have had three BFN in a row, which is just disheartening.
