So, in have spoken to a few friends who have told me that they can 'feel' when they are ovulating, even down to what side they are ovulating from.
Is there something wrong with me or am I ignoring my body that much that I can't 'feel it'??!!!!

Not everyone get ovulation pain, mine comes and goes. About 50% of women do I believe. It's also not exact, so the pain isn't actually at the time the egg is released, so there is no advantage to feeling it.

Don't let it concern you, it can be quite a fierce pain, so you are definitely not missing out!

Here is some info from FF if you are interested http://www.fertilityfriend.com/Faqs/Second...ity-Signs-.html.

I get O pain, it can be quite painful, the clinic advises me when I get my surge (through blood tests) and about 6 - 12 hours later I get the O pain. Which is pretty much spot on from the surge to O.

Sarzmh - yes I can feel what side I O from, but on a normal cycle I can't tell what side it will be until the pain! But there is nothing wrong with you honey. Some women can, some women can't .

I do some months, and not others. Although, I do get dull cramps for at least a few days before O.

Be glad you don't get pain. I do and it was a midwife that worked in er that worked it out after years of tests for everything from twisted bowl to appendicitis diagnosis. The worst part was I was in so much pain when it happened I couldn't imagine doing "wink wink" so t.t.c. Was impossible. Don't wish for it!! Funnily enough since my last 2.5 years old now and my mc it's eased up. Perhaps the d&c helped. I always get headaches and migraines as well. Do temps, they are pretty accurate original.gif good luck with your t.t.c.

I agree, I get it and its awful. I have a poly cystic ovary so not sure if it is a symptom of that, but it is painful, and I feel nauseous, cranky and bloated.....not conducive for making a baby really!

I only starting getting ovulation pain after I had my first child. Trust me, you don't want it. It can actually make DTD the last thing you want to do, so not very helpful in tems of TTC! For me it is a very sharp pain on one side (alternating each month) and it lasts about 12 hours. It is very uncomfortable and usually means I will take pain relief.

I get it, it is quite sharply painful for a few hours on the active side.. I put it down to some sort of indigestion pain in the past. I only worked it out when I was doing IVF frozen transfers so they were monitoring my ovulation so as to coordinate the transfer.
