Hi Everyone

I went for my NT scan yesterday. I was so excited and releived to see the little bub. The technician didnt seem to see anything wrong. However, when i come home and looked at the results, i got a little worried. bellow are the notes made:

NT 1.48

HC 74mm

BPD 19.6mm

FL 9.7mm

CRL 57.2mm

OFD 26.2mm

All of these seemed to be in the range of normal. However when i reviewed the ratios they are way out of the limits I have seen on line.

FL/BPD 49% (should be 75%)

FL/HC 13% (apparently should be 19%).

I am now extremely upset and worried this could mean downs or dwarfism. Has anyone else gone through this or know if this is a significant issue. I am so worried but my doctor will not get the results to at least tuesday! I am absolutely beside myself .

Help!!!! Anyone

No idea on dwarfism but NT of 1.48 is fantastic for no sign of down syndrome and you need your blood test results to really tell anything further.

Stay away from Dr Google!!

If the sonographer said all is well then I am sure it is.
A femur length of nearly 10mms appears to be not too far under the 50th percentile for 12 weeks according to my graph but remember that our babies grow at different rates. There is a wide range of normal.
If there were any markers for Achondroplasia I am certain that you'd have been referred to your doctor and not sent home with your results to worry over sad.gif

If you are concerned please contact your doctor and tell him/her your fears as only they will be able to allay them.
Good luck OP

This was me not too long ago.
I was stressing when I got home and looked at my results. All were above average BUT the femur length which was about 9 days behind average.
Was very worried!
Doctor said all was good at my appointment the following week and my results for DS were about 1:11000
I have just had my 20 week scan and the femur length is now measuring 2 weeks ahead of average.
So please don't stress like I did, worry for nothing.
