I know I can't use a US Kitchenaid without a transformer, but are the attachments OK?

Also which ones do you find useful.

The ice cream attachment is different but I have bought other stuff, bowls, beaters, and grater attachments without any problems.

The ones that attach to the front of the machine it doesn't matter what motor drives them.
I've just bought the extra grating and slicing attachments but haven't used them yet because I've been using my food processor(I bought extra attachments for this through Amazon as well).
I have the citrus juicer as well but only use if doing large quantities.

Bowls etc. vary between the different models.

If you look at the bit where the beaters etc attach, on the Australian ones there is a round plate around the stem - this isn't there on the US ones, it's a health thingy that is required here but not there apparently. So most attachments go under this so it doesn't affect it, as far as I know only the ice cream maker isn't compatible.

Sorry, that's about as clear as mud but I can't find any pics online to explain it!

There's a fix for the ice cream maker too. I saw it on YouTube. Sorry, can't get it load in phone at the moment but will edit if I find it. It looked reasonably easy and would be reversible. Still tossing up if I should get the icecream maker, but would get from US and try the fix if I did.

The icecream maker does sound a problem.
There are some ingenious solutions people have found.

Sorry for the hijack, but while we're asking KitchenAid questions - how many bowls comes standard with it, and can you buy them in extra sizes? I tend to make things requiring 2 bowls on the go, and my cheapo Breville mixer has 2 bowls, but looking at the KA it doesn't seem to?
