The thread on introversion got me wondering.

If you don't mind sharing, what is you Myer Briggs Personality Type? There are free tests online if you don't know.

I'm curious if there are certain types who are drawn to these forums (I suspect there is!).

Do you think it reflects you well? Are you mindful of what your "type" is and how to work with those strengths and weaknesses? Do you ever feel held back by them? Any advantages?

I'm INFJ. Introversion, iNtuition, Feeling, Judgement. Apparently it's the rarest of the 16 personality types, which was an interesting discovery for me. The personality descriptions of INFJ do seem to fit my thinking style. It sort of made me understand why I often don't feel understood!

Eta. DP and my whole family have Sensing and not iNtuition, and that's the aspect of my personality I feel most alone on.

What about your spouse/children... What do you think their personality type is and do you ever struggle to understand them?

DP is ISFP. Introverted, Sensing, Feeling, Perception, and is sensitive but much more grounded than me and much more live and let live (but I want to change the world!). The differences between us canbe challenging sometimes. He isn't a big picture thinker/reflecter, and can't make a concrete decision, which both drive me nuts sometimes. On the flipside, he doesn't let things bother or constrain him the way I do.

I like cats, but I couldn't eat a whole one.
I'm INFP. The I and the N are extremely strong (literally no E at all), but the F and the P could go either way.

Con Sprezzatura.
I'm an INFJ.

I do think it reflects me well - especially the J aspect. I am an off-the-scale J. I'm particularly aware of introversion as it relates to self care; if I don't get my alone time my ability to function well really starts to slip. I'm also aware that my emotional reactions can be easily misread or seen as weakness by others, so I try to moderate them when I'm concerned about how I present to others.

I do find the intuitive side an advantage. I am often aware of nuances of situations and relationships which seem to sail right past other people.

DH is in INTP. We find the difference between us on the P/J thing a source of conflict. I want to plan and organise, and he finds that stressful.

Heaven help me, I'm worried that DD might be an extrovert... ohmy.gif

I am usually a skeptic and I know there is criticism of the Myers-Brigg, but it definitely makes sense to me!

Eta Ange and I clash at times - both strong Js original.gif

I'm an istj. The I is borderline, I used to be a bit more extroverted. The j is the very strong one for me.

ENFP. And it's me exactly.

I'm always surprised at how many introverts are on EB.
