I am really struggling right now - embedded in a cocoon of depression.

Please remind me (as I seemed to have forgotten) why is life amazing?

You love your kids, and they love you and you are blessed to have each other.

I am sure I have read you post previously about enjoying your job, and getting satisfaction from helping the community.

You have fun on EB. Maybe not always, but you do!

You are a strong and opinionated woman...a good thing to be!

Have you had a chance to see a counsellor yet?

Not yet. I guess you could say I'm afraid to talk to one.

You need to do it. Have you got someone to take you?

Chocolate.

Cheese - especially the stinky, oozy kind.

Cold cold beer on a hot hot day.

But seriously OP, talk to somebody. Once it's out you will feel better. There is help out there for you. Big big hugs for you. Xxx

I just can't get my head around it. I can't be bothered going back to the GP. I miss what little of my sanity I had so much.

I just PMed you, but let me know if it is blank as I am not 100% confident that I have my PMs set up properly.

You have shown yourself to be an intelligent woman (from your posts) and a committed Mother. Your kids will grow up and be proud of you.

Go to the councillor. I know it is very difficult to start. From someone who has been where you are now start to get help as soon as you can. Don't leave it too late.

It helps if you have a good friend or partner to bundle you up and drive you there and help you go but I know not everyone has this.

I can totally relate to this, when you're down in it getting that referral just seems too much. And also "I don't want to get help, this is familiar and I'm comfortable here" comes into it.

BUT...you do need to do it. For you and for your family. And taking that step in itself can be doing something positive for yourself that will grow. Please do.

Oh, and slightly melty Lindt balls on a hot day. A moment of bliss.
