Hi Ladies,

How are you all?

It has been almost 12 months since DH and I have been TTC. I know we can conceive as I already have DS and I conceived three months ago but sadly it ended in miscarriage.

I was just wondering if there are any 'tricks' you decided to try and were successful. E.g. change of diets, BD dancing timing/positions, etc.

I would love to know, as I would love to try an suggestions and see if they work.

Thanks for sharing :-)

I know the exact weekend DS was conceived. I knew it was "around" ovulation and we did hardly anything other than BD from Friday night to Sunday night.

Worked a treat.

I had some specific issues TTC our second...poly cystic ovary, some hormonal issues, and er, age ...I was over 35 put it that way! So my experience is probably not the same as yours OP...I was seeing a fertility specialist and took some medication to address the PCOS (metformin), I lost some weight.....cut back on the booze (I was self medicating a bit with alcohol to combat my feelings about being unable to conceive).....I was charting with OPKs but I was all over the shop with them and TBH I think they gave me a number of false readings.....what really worked for me, the month I conceived DS2 (but as I said, I had resolved the fertility issues mentioned above) was .....MASSIVE TMI alert......

....EWCM (are you up with the lingo OP?)....it happened after I thought I had ovulated that month, but it was there in my knickers and seriously, I could have made a pavlova with the stuff! (sorry but I did warn you TMI) ...so we BD"d and sure enough .....it was right down to the wire too because we were booked in for IVF that following month....I told my FS about it and he said it is an "excellent" sign of fertility....

Good luck!

Haha thanks very much. I think you and I think alike when describing things. I am sitting having a chuckle at your reference to making pavlova.

Thanks ladies for the advice.

In the time frame that I have been TTC three of my really good friends have conceived and though extremely I am happy for them at the same time I am going crazy :-)

Mirror, mirror, shiny glass, tell me that is NOT my ass!!
I've tried anything and everything!

But one thing I can tell you what NOT to do and that is to put a pillow under your bum when you own a water bed.

When I did that and laid back, my legs went flying over the top of my head, my shins smacked into the headboard, pulled a muscle in my butt and got stuck in that position with no knickers on. wwhistle.gif

So there ya go, what NOT to do! tthumbs.gif

Oh man it didn't put my edit in - what I was saying is, in all seriousness, keep on doing what you have been doing as you fell pg (though sadly m/c) 3 months ago. There is nothing saying that it won't happen again. original.gif

I think I will try that this cycle. Is that where you BD every second day after AF and then every day three days before ovulation?

It took ages before I could stop limping from the pain in my butt. I think it wouldn't have taken as long if I had the guts to go to the Dr about it. LOL
