We had a rent of one for a number of weeks in europe and loved it. It's the same or smaller than our camry but so much more roomy inside. Not thrilled with service/repair costs in australia.
We chipped the windscreen on the rental (stone flew off gravel verge) and the quote was like $2000+ to replace, because it's so huge.

I have one, had it for 5 years now. Repairs are expensive and you need the windscreen insurance! But it's a great car. It's not much bigger than a station wagon in length or width. We have four kids but we are not all in the car that often. The back row is only good for kids. My teen doesn't like sitting there anymore.

The middle row is fantastic because there are 3 individual seats and plenty of room. Front seats are great. Fuel economy is fantastic in the diesel version, not much more than my Mazda 323.

The thing to keep in mind is that it is a small people mover so nothing like a KIA or Chrysler etc.

It is also pretty cool inside and once you get used to the windscreen and lack of handbrake it's great. We were going to replace our car this year but couldn't find a better alternative - except perhaps the Peugeot or the Prius 7 seater.

Me me me!!!

I have had mine for three years. Taking it for its 60kms service tomorrow.

Still in love with mine. If I win 6m tonight I would buy a new one ina different colour. Mine I got for a $5k discount if I was willing to take it in red before quarter end.

I have the panoramic sunroof and leather pack. Also had AUX connection for iPod. What I really want is Bluetooth but at the time of purchasing that was part of a $4k stereo package.

Runs beautifully. The tyre pressure warning has saved us money as we had a sudden flat on the Tulla. We immediately pulled over, changed tyres. Then it was a patch repair not a full new tyre cost.

Servicing is done every 20k rather then every 10k which my Jazz was. Two jazz services is the same cost as the Picasso.

Yes I have taken out the AAMI $50 optional extra for windscreen insurance.

I have three in car seats across the middle. Boot space is huge and interior just feels roomy. We also looked at the Peugeot 308SW, but felt claustrophobic in that and it had tiny boot space. My head also hit the roof when going over bumps when I was sitting in the third row. 6ftDH can manage the third row (if middle row is forward) in the Picasso.

I did recently have a caritas error warning light come on after the 45dregree day in Sydney. Dealer servicing looked at it for no cost and reset it. Warning light did not come back (so suspect electrical error in epwarning light).

Very happy with my car!!!

When I purchased it it showed only 1cm longer the a mazda3 and same length as a Holden Astra. So it is a small car lengthwise.

Final addition fuel economy for me averages 8.4L

We took a 3yo??? turbo diesel for a test drive recently, but it had a real lag when you put your foot down to take off at lights etc. We didn't like that ( that says a lot coming from us who drive a Renault Scenic, lol), but as it's the first one we have driven we don't know if that is normal or a fault with that particular car.

Would love feedback from those that have a Picasso on the lag, pllllllease;) TIA

We're also looking at a Picasso - we currently have a turbo diesel Jetta - I think the lag is quite common in diesels (so I've been told) - the Jetta lags at the lights but you just figure it into your driving - doesn't bother me at all.

Lag got me I initially, but now I drive around it, so yes I am the mummy at the lights who can out drag a hoon ph34r.gif ph34r.gif

Probably the strangest thing for me was the steering wheel shift. Now I am used to it and feel funny driving my folks Jazz.

Mine has done lots of Kms as we drive to Sydney from Melb. Very good hwy cruising and no lack of grunt.

Eta auto park break, auto lights and auto windscreen wipers rock. There has only been one occasion when I felt I needed lights on and the car didn't automatically out them on.... That was a very bright but foggy morning in Melbourne.
