I'm with 'EVERYONE' on this - it's not a name, it's cruel. Give him a real name and he can be called Chucky by his dad as a nickname.

What fresh hell is this?
I'm assuming that as the "Child's Play" movies have been part of the cultural lexicon for the last few decades, this is not actually a legitimate enquiry.

It's a nickname for Charles (and a terrible one IMO). Call him Charles and his dad can call him Chucky for a few weeks before he realises how silly it sounds.

Eta Damn! I hate falling for trolls. That's what I get for having a post frenzy.

I love the name Charles. I have a dear friend by that name and I sometimes call him Chucky. Why not just go with Charles?

Btw Wayne is dreadful in my opinion (and it's my Dad's middle name...poor guy! hahaha)

I think it's a fine name and commend you for joining the site to ask such an important question.

Now don't you have some friends to meet at the mall?

I think it's important that you resolve this issue as soon as possible, ideally before school resumes next week.

I prefer Charles Wanker, with the nickname "Chucky Wayne" -- a more "formal" name will give him options.

Good luck with your decision.

I personally don't like it & my immediate thoughts go to David Strassman's evil doll.
