Hi All,

Current DD 25 months, newby due any day who will go in a capsule for approx 6 months then into the SNS meridian RF which my daughter is currently in FF, have a second meridian in DH car which will turn RF now for baby, so need a FF seat for DD, who is average height and will prob continue to be so. Chances are there will be a number 3 so want something relatively narrow, have narrowed it down to maxi cosi air comfort or goliath.


Main advantage of goliath is we have at least 1 seat till 7ish, but I am concerned about that I have read in a couple of places about convertible FF seats/ boosters being too upright for toddlers sleeping, so their head slumps forward, losing the side protection advantage. I do believe, however, in seat mode that the goliath can be reclined somewhat (am off to look at one this morning so will confirm this) Has anyone used the goliath and had or not had this problem?

Other question from the experts (I'm talking to you here isolabella!) is is there any safety advantage over keeping my daughter in the FF meridian for another 6 months until the baby comes out of the capsule, or should I just put her straight into the air comfort or goliath now? I believe the CREP rating was slightly higher but am having brain freeze at present.

Maxi cosi complete Air only gets two stars CREP tested, so your Meridian at Three Stars (assuming T&A) rates better.

Personally not really sold on the Goliath.

Have you considered the New Maxi Rider T&A? Nice high shoulder markings. Users are reporting on EB less head slump then the Meridian. Also a slim seat at 45cm wide too. Also looks easy to use in booster mode.

Eta: the SNS Lifestyle or Compaq are great seats with high markers too. Slim and fit great next to boosters. Good for three across. My 70% 5.5yo is still under the height markers (although I have moved him to a booster as he is starting school and DD at three needs the Compaq now).

Thanks Isolabella, that's what I was after, I've now heard enough about the goliath to knock it off my list, I'll go and choose a narrow FF seat.
