I find there is always a lot of talk but little real action.

There was a protest sure. But that provided great publicity - probably gave Channel 7 and Sunrise more eye balls (ratings) than usual and even more of a platform and voice for Koch.

What is important for TV shows are viewers which = ratings which = advertising revenue.

A real and probably the most effective action would be simply to stop watching Sunrise. People abandoning a program, killing its ratings is the best protest and message to send a TV station.

That is probably the only feedback they will get that they will "understand' and act on.

Do people actually watch sunrise to start with.

(I do agree though, people need to follow outrage with action)

watching in the first place would be required. In fact, I hardly watch anything on channel 7, it all seems to play to sterotypical overly white middle Australia, without a hint of sarcasm. Ugh.

I don't even watch Sunrise, precisely because I never could stand David Koch.

I don't watch Sunrise, but I have boycotted other television shows, radio stations, publications, and films and would do so in this case.

Do you think they would really care? With the boost in ratings this whole episode has caused thay must be laughing in their coffee cups. Mr Koch is renowned for these types of provocative comments which always prompt more people to watch Sunrise to catch the fallout. In a few days it will all be forgotten and there will be a new ground-breaking story in the headlines.

There are two times I watch:

1. when it's on in a waiting room (or the blood bank, which is next door to the studio); or

2. when I walking past and they are in Martin Place.

or Fembo maybe...
Agree there needs to be a boycott.
But first, we need to find someone who watches it in the first place... Tounge1.gif
