Morning everyone,

I had a MMC, which ended in a D&C on 21 December.

Not planned, but very much wanted, we were shattered at the loss.

Not necessarily TTC, we have started having fun without protection for the last two weeks or so. Last night I had that familiar gut instinct firing up that I could be pregnant again, so I did a wee test and this morning I got a BFP!

Now, I don't want to get too excited yet, as it is very early days and it is on the back of my first MC.

I'm concerned that maybe the HCG giving me the positive result is still hanging around from first pregnancy, rather than me being actually pregnant again? I really hope not, but is this at all possible?

I know that I'll just have to wait this out and go and see my GP for tests to confirm it either way. I'm just a bit excited and want to know now already!!

Yep this happened to me about a month earlier than you. Didn't need a D&C tho. I rang the doc who thought is was left over from previous pregnancy but she ordered bloods and we were all pleasantly surprised :)Hope it works out the same for you!

Congratulations Jindy Poss, that's great news at your end! And thank you both for your kind words.

I've spoken to a GP at work about whether this HCG could be still as a result of the MC. After 5 weeks and with no residual issues with the D&C, it's not at all likely that this will be the case. I've done three successive wee tests over the past week and the BFP is getting significantly stronger each time. So it looks as if we are back to square one again. Happy days!

I'll make a GP appointment in the next week or two to get bloods and go from there. Fingers crossed that we will have better luck this time.

Happy Australia Day to you both.
