Hi

I was just looking up a book I need for Uni, and one of the ones listed is almost half the price the Uni bookshop is listing it at...why do you think?? It has the same ISBN number. Seems to good to be tru.

Anyone else lucked out so well??

ETA it is listed as new and not used!

They rock.

I bought most of my uni books using Booko. Just make sure you follow the link from the Booko site, so booko gets credit for your business.

They are new.

The mark up on books, especially in uni bookshops can be $$$$.

I estimate you will be down to around $400 from booko.

Booko is great - I use it all the time for fiction books and maybe pay $11 free delivery as opposed to $30 in the shops.

Once you don't mind waiting a bit longer as somethings come from UK or US but I have never waited that long in fairness.

Thanks for the replies, BUT less than half price seems to good to be true! Mind you the other one I want they have no listing of- a UNI specific pack I think perhaps!

The one I want less than half price is offered at that price from overseas (UK/USA) only, maybe that is why, for some reason they offer it cheaper! unsure.gif

Booko is fantastic. I bought half my son's high school books on it this year.

I really like the way it calculates the price AND postage and then you can choose the web site you want to go to. It's often Book Depository or Abe Books but sometimes others. I really like Better World Books as they support literacy programs and often have second hand books that I want. I found out about them on Booko.

I also like the way you can make a list of the books you want. I have 22 books on my list at the moment!

Does the pack list the books in it? They might be available individually. Sometimes though, uni's sell "books" of readings that are nothing more than a bound collection of photocopied journal articles. You have to buy those from your uni.

What bookstore is booko giving the cheaper price with? Cause booko themselves don't set the prices they search all the online stores. Make sure when you buy you log onto booko and then follow the link from them to buy.

I search every semester through booko for my texts and I've gotten many books from US & UK for half the price (or fairly close to it).
