I'm currently repaying because of under estimating income.

You get anything that's left over after the debt is repaid.

Not sure if they will just take your debt out of this. I know they will for the Supplement payment at tax time but not so sure here.

I have a debt and got it all. I also got all my supplements for the EOFY reconciliation as well. My debt is repaid out of any Newstart I may get when I report fortnightly.

No they won't take it for a debt. Do you have a payment plan in place? They have never taken my supps, ccb or SKB for my debt.

I have a debt and got it all, however I have a payment plan for my debt where I pay a fortnightly amount which is automatically deducted from my family tax benefit. I always get the full amount of any other payments that come through like child care rebates, bonuses etc.
Perhaps it might be different if you didn't have a payment plan.

You have to be eligible - getting FTA and have kids in school.

There is a couple of threads in Managing Money that give links for criteria etc

If you have an FTB debt they might withhold it, as they will withhold supplements and top-ups at EOFY (whether you have a repayment plan or not).

If you have an Income Support Payment (PPS, NSA, DSP etc) debt they will not withhold your SKB or supps etc for the debt as the legislation for FTB and SKB doesn't allow that at this time.
