Over the last half year I have suffered from excessive bloating. It usually occurs around ovulation to the week before I get my period, so within the 2nd half of my cycle. It lasts around 2-4 days and I look about 5 months pregnant (no joke, I even have been asked when I am expecting during this time). Then after as quick as it comes i wake up one day a its gone and i look flatter tummy again.
I am not over weight. I think it must be hormonal but maybe contributed to by diet? I know many women get bloating but I cannot find much online about it during the 2nd part of cycle nor being as bad as I get it. Does anyone else have this? Can I make diet changes? Should I go see the GP or an alternative health professional? |

I am very similar- have even been weighing myself daily and for those days I up by nearly 2 kg. it's been happening for quite a while for me (I recall whenever we were ttc it was time of month I felt most uncomfortable and least like dtd) but does seem to be worse over last couple months.
I will be watching... |

I found this happend after my period came back after having DD. Once I went back on the pill it went away again so I'm assuming it was hormone related in some way.

I get easily bloated too- I believe mine is also partly hormonal. But dairy and wheat also seems to be a cause for me.

Sorry no advice but just wanted to let you know this happens to me too.
The bloat usually goes around my stomach and can start about 3 days before ovulation and lasts for about 2 days after so 5 in total. My weight can increase from 1kg to 3kg. I also get really bad cramps and the pain sits low and alternates sides each month. I have been TTC number 3 for well over 18 months so I am very in tune with my cycle. It has to be hormones for me as my diet is usually consistent. Strangely though I don't get too much bloating when I actually have my period but still get bad cramps. I'm off to the GP tomorrow for a check up so I'll mention this to her and see what she says. |

I dont get bloated during period either. most online stuff is about bloating during periods. Please do ask your GP and come back and let us know what they say! |
