I used one for my second labour and found it very helpful. Particularly when combined with stomping my feet.
With the health fund rebate it was cheaper to buy the TENs machine than hire one.

Best. Thing. Ever.
Well worth the $65 it cost to hire it. In the end I was induced and after the first lot of gel I was in full blown labour.
I used it all the way through- I started pushing but DS wasn't coping so ended up emergency cs.
Was even better relief than the bath.

I credit mine with allowing me to avoid any drugs. DS was mostly posterior and I got all my contractions in my lower back. The TENS machine was brilliant.

As far as the rebate you should contact your health fund and ask what they require as it can vary between funds

I loved my TENS with my second. It helped me get through hours of labour without the help of any drugs.

Wghen I looked at it only top level cover paid any refund - maybe $100. I purchased one for $100 online then sold it after for $100.

Didnt use it as didnt have any labour but it did giv me a few electric shocks, not bad!

or Fembo maybe...
My early stage labour went for AAAAGES and I don't know how I'd have got through without the TENS. I alternated between that and water, but I couldn't have been in water for 12 hours or I'd have dissolved, so thank heavens for the tens!
