Do you have a Maclaren Quest? Please help!

How on earth do i get the seat padding thing off to wash it? I've unbuckled, unclipped, unhooked everything, now its just hanging on by the shoulder straps because they are just one big loop... do i have to unthread the straps thru the buckle (as if i was adjusting it)? surely theres an easier way?! not sure if that makes a whole lot of sense, haha! Hopefully if u have the Quest you know what I'm talking about

When we needed to clean it, I hit it with the high pressure washer in the back yard and then left it to dry. Maclarens were highly recommended at the time, we got it to replace an old Peg-Perego. I wish we'd stuck with the peg, you could strip everything off in about 5 mins and put it through the wash. That's not much help, sorry.

i must admit, i'm getting ready to hit it with the hose! Surely there's a way to get it off, I mean it's got the clips etc that come undone all the way around it as if it's meant to come off. So someone in the designing stage had good intentions, but then the harness people came along and attached their straps and didn't think about how messy toddlers can be

Just found this link: http://www.fixya.com/support/t304188-get_seat_wash Essentially: Remove hood from stroller if fitted. A Twist shoulder strap end buckles and feed through holes. B Feed waist and crotch straps through holes. Its not possible to detach the waist straps from the frame of the stroller. C Unclip seat cover retaining straps. D Unfasten seat fabric from handle tubes and seat base. E Slide fabric from seat back and base. F When refitting seat fabric, insert seat back support tubes into fabric slits. G When refitting seat fabric to seat base, loop fabric flap over legrest strap and pass crotch strap buckle through both holes in seat fabric and then hole in seat base. H When refitting shoulder straps, twist buckles and feed through holes." Sounds like it might be possible these days. Mine didn't even have clips, it was all permanently attached. Hope this works, the post is a little old and might be out of date

I saw that link too, but the straps on the current model are kind of just one loop, joined with the waist straps, and can't be twisted out... Looks like I'm hosing. Sigh.

its ok! its ok! upon closer inspection i found a sneaky little clip that allows u to detach the waist strap from the shoulder strap... taadaa! seat cover is in the washing machine! hmmm i hope it was machine washable actually...
