Hi all,

DH I travelled through france and italy 5 years ago with a car and loved it. we saw a lot of the south coast of france and the pyranese.

we are going to bordeax in May for my sisters wedding but after that we are wanting to do somet more touring. We now have a 16 month old (20 months old when we travel). we are still thinking of taking a car, and maybe dirivng along the south west of france top of spain/ basque region. with a child we dont want to necessarily do as many kms as we did 5 years ago (although I would also love to see southern spain such as granada and seville). we have 5 weeks although 1.5 weeks will be taken up with wedding.

Does anyone have experience in this region and have any suggestions. especially with a little toddler. we have done barcelona so wont need to do that again (although i would love to but dont think there will be as much tapas/ wine drinking this time so whats the point!!)

thanks y'all!

We are planning the same but in the opposite direction. We have a wedding in the south of Spain so we are planning on taking the train down from Madrid. We are hoping to do the Basque region and then travel north through France to St Malo where we will catch a ferry to the Channel Islands where my in-laws live. We have 3 children and my biggest worry is getting accommodation.
