I wonder if anyone can help me. My son started long daycare 8 months ago. I applied for child care rebate at this point. Asked for it to be payed quarterly. Received letters on centre link online stating we were 0%rated for child care benefit. But haven't had any letters or payments regarding the CCR. I cannot find anymore information about what to do next on the website and each time I have tried to email there has been some computer glitch on the website. Thanks in advance.

Are you both working/studying? For CCR, you don't have to have a minimum, but you do both have to be doing something.
Do they have your bank details?

You might have to call or go in.

My daughter recently started too and I did get a letter for the benefit but not for the rebate. So i called up to see if there was anything wrong and the woman told me they don't send out letters for the rebate! If your eligible for the benefit you are eligible for the rebate!

Maybe give them a call so you can hear it straight from them original.gif My advice call first thing in the morning, seems to take less time for them to answer original.gif

At some point, you should nominate how often/where you get paid. I'm not sure of all the options, but you can have it paid directly to the centre as a reduction in fees, or to yourself fortnightly, quarterly and maybe annually. You might be able to check that online, but you can only change it once a year (and I keep missing the window of opportunity to do that).

Have you spoken to your daycare about whether they have been reporting your child's hours? When DD1 started daycare I didn't get a payment for over 6 months after speaking with centrelink and them saying they had received nothing from the centre, I finally got hold of the coordinator at day care who finally sorted it out, not sure what they were doing wrong but not paying for a few weeks seemed to get them to action my queries.

Thanks everyone. I'll speak to the centre this week and try to get into centre link at some point.
