Just wondering for you ladies out there that have had a D & C how long did you bleed for?

I had a D & C on Thursday night and have been feeling fine physically no cramping, minimal bleeding but I noticed this morning (sorry maybe TMI now) that after I did a poo I have started to bleed a little bit. Not having to change pads or anything like that but just more than I was yesterday for example.

Do you think that I am maybe expecting this to all settle down just too quickly and that things are just still sorting themselves out down there iykwim?

I just want this to all be done with, I suppose seeing blood is a reminder that I don't like to see.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

I had a d&c for other reasons (not miscarriage or abortion) and I bleed for maybe 5 - 7 days.

I spotted for a while, I think nearly two weeks. It was very light though.

With mine I bled for about 3-4 days. Then it was light spotting for the rest of the week. Then for the next two weeks there was a rusty brown colour (old blood) every time I wiped. Not enough to warrant a pad, but enough to remind me it was still there (I wore a liner that whole time though).

I bled on and off for about 3 weeks. It would look to be stopping and would then start again. It drove me mad. I think I got a proper period 7-8 weeks later.

I bled full on for five or so weeks, and then on and off for another few. I suspect that I'm just a bleeder though, as my post partum bleeding is quite lengthy as well. But, all within the range of normal. Everyone is different.

Good luck, I hope it's all over for you soon... Xx

original.gif Thanks for all of your replies.

I think that maybe I am just being too impatient tbh and need to chill out and let nature take it's course.

From what you ladies have describe I am in the realms of "normal". The bleeding has subsided alot and I think that it was really more spotting than bleeding and that I just panicked a bit blush.gif

Thanks again xoxo
