Hi name gurus,

We are due to have our DD2 in 5 weeks and finding a name this time round is proving to be so much harder.

Our DD1 is Asha Willow.

Our top 4 at the moment consists of:

Ruby
Ella
Ellie
Madison

Other names we agree on are:

Taylor
Lucy
Zoe
Samara
Perry (prob wont use as its a bit out there)

Names that I love that DH has vetoed are:

Milla
Matilda
Scarlett

Im just finding it hard as I love DD1's name. The names we have on our list are nice but I dont love them (yet). And they are quite common (although at this stage i really dont care about them being common or not as I just want a nice name)

So can you offer any other ideas or opinions on our list?

Our top 4 at the moment consists of:
Ruby- lovely
Ella- lovely
Ellie- this is fine as a nickname only
Madison- really, really dislike

Other names we agree on are:
Taylor- ok
Lucy- nice, but I definitely prefer it as a nickname only to Lucia, Lucille, Lucinda eta
Zoe- lovely
Samara- lovely
Perry- not keen on this

Names that I love that DH has vetoed are:
Milla- lovely
Matilda- lovely
Scarlett- lovely

Of you top names/names you agree on I would probably go with Samara if you want something a little different but otherwise Zoe.

Ruby (really popular, but I think it's a great name)
Ella (I'm not a fan of it personally, but I don't think it's a bad name)
Ellie ( I think this name is sweet)
Madison (not my style. I think Madison might have peaked a few years ago and be in decline now?)

Other names we agree on are:

Taylor (I don't mind it)
Lucy (I really like Lucy)
Zoe (Not my style, but goes well with Asha)
Samara (Beautiful name)
Perry (not my style- but I don't find it too out there at all)

It's great that you have so many names you can both agree on!

I love Asha and Samara. Personally, I really don't think Ellie, Ella, Ruby or Madison are unique enough to pair with Asha, which is much more uncommon. I love the name Asha and I love the name Samara. Do that original.gif

Samara and Perry get my vote. Love Asha, and it is not overused. Ruby and Ella are two of the most common names around, as beautiful as they are, I'd go for something unique like you did the first time around.
