Well we were in a car accident my daughter pretty much took the whole lot to her side we all went flying her window smashed around her and her seat was damaged she is ok and so are we all .
I am so so thankful we are ok and the other car was as well.

She was in a Maxi rider AHR my son was in the safe n sound AHR I think it was a older tilt and adjust (spelling could be wrong) I really don't remember I sent my husband to take photos of the seats today for insurance to cover them as I don't want to see the car or seats its to upsetting)

So what seats now? I love love love the maxi rider she was in I truly believe that the bit in the middle (is it the AHR) that protected her head and same with my son but oviouslly now I have been in a crash and seen the seats I want to replace them with the best seats I can.
Do you think the new Maxi riders will come out great in all the tests?

I always research seats here:
http://www.crep.com.au/crep-results.php
Then once I have an idea of which couple I like best, I check out their specifications on the manufacturers website. I then google them to find what and where the best price for what I want is.

Have you looked into the crash exchange program that britax has with the safe n sound seats?

They may actually replace them! wink.gif

Thanks so much for link about the crash exchange original.gif

Also thank you for the link about crep original.gif

Wow I checked the site about the safety stars on carseats and the seat my daughter was in only had 2 stars :S

Does anyone know if the maxi rider they tested is the new one that is out it shows up on eb as a advert sometimes as thats the one I am looking at buying but the crep results showed only 2 stars so wondering if that is the old one like I had and the new one might rate higher ?

New maxi rider has not been tested. The previous 2004 weight limit AHR model was tested previously.

Sorry meant to add glad you and the kids are OK.

I was never more thankful for child restraints then after I had a 4wd hit the Bach third of my tiny Jazz and spin us in circles in the middle of an intersection. 3.5mo bubs was fine. Purchased same seat to replace it.
