Hi all,

I'm not really trying to get a bfp but.. last cycle was the 1st after merina removal and we tried to do the rhythm method but thought I o'd early but it turns out I may have o'd twice (two lots of o pains and egg-white CM with about a 2 day gap) so I figured we mucked up that cycle and did the deed anyway (its not at all a bad thing to get a bfp just a bit tricky with going to uni etc and well, might have to let the BF move in! lol)

Anyway! I have been testing everyday (cant help myself) and this morning I got a bfp, the line is kind of faint and a bit broken but its there clearly, tested with a test from ebay that looks like the type you get from the doc, the flat plastic ones, I tried one of those 2 days ago, negitive, so I can see the differance.

Went to the gym for a class and picked up a 1st response and tested approx 1.5 hours after the 1st, got a BFN, wondering if the 1st is faulty or it was because I used 1st morning urine?

I am 1 day before AF due, however pre merina I had 30 day cycles and my normal cycle started with this last one so I have nothing to compare, I know time will tell but.. I'm so impatient.

Good luck.

I'd get another First Response and test with first morning urine tomorrow.

I did a pregnancy test before Christmas (a Thursday, the day before my period was due) and got a positive, did another the next day 'just to be sure' and got a negative. Did a third the following day and got another positive. I booked in with the GP but did a fourth test the morning of my appointment (the following Wednesday) 'just to be really sure' and it was positive.

When I told her she laughed and said I could have just gone on the very first one as they're never false positive. She said they can be a false negative but in her experience she has never heard of anyone getting a false positive.

Good luck!

lol congrates namie, that is a positive thing to hear original.gif

I had been told by doctors that there aren't any false positives too but I have heard other posters mention something about a chemical positive?

I actually really hope I am, I just don't want the disappointment.

My hands were shaking looking at that fainting but clear line original.gif

Yes try another FRER - if you don't want to wait for FMU you can limit liquid and wait 4-5 hours before peeing and it should work.

My GP laughed when I said my lines were getting lighter, too. She wasn't laughing when I was back in there a few days later because I had had a chemical pg and AF had started. I hope that's not the case for you but unfortunately chemicals are very common.
