Hi
I (a few months ago) decided to stop using chemical hair dyes and got henna from lush and used that. Result was good but just takes so long to do the whole thing that wondering if should just go back to chemical ... least its quicker and easier! Sure I read somewhere that using chemical hair dye over henna-ed hair can be problematic. Wondering if anyone has done it and their hair has been ok? |

I did it and I *think* it might have stuffed up my hair... it just hasn't been the same since.
Love henna on brown hair, it looks amazing! Does nothing for me though. |

I wouldn't attempt it until the henna has faded out of your hair.
I use Lush Henna as well and while it's a massive pain in the neck to do it, I like the result so will continue using it. |

Oh dear I didnt realise you cant put chemical die over the top of henna! Glad I read this post!
I have been using chemical dies for years and its really taking its toll on my thin locks. Love the henna but its a pain to use and I dont live near a Lush store so then there is postage. I'm going to see whether our health food store sells a different henna brand for next time as I really dont want to kill my hair again by using the chemical stuff. It was just starting to look up. |
