We are flying in to Brisbane and staying at the gold coast. Is it worth booking transfer prior or can it be done at the airport? What would you recommend shuttle or train? (2A & 3C) Is it worth booking theme parks prior? We are looking at the VIP pass that includes 3 theme parks for $99. T

I would book transfer before arriving and a shuttle over a train. It may be more expensive but a lot more convenient and comfortable, especially in this heat. The passes for the theme parks are usually very good value, to my memory.

If you are travelling very light then I suppose you could use the train, but I would second the shuttle. I always think its best to prebook too.

We are going in March and are doing the same. I think we are going to going to get a smartpass which includes airtrain to goldcoast and back plus the bus travel around the goldcoast (to theme parks etc.) We will get this and the theme park tickets before we go.
