Random puppy poo question

Do all puppies go absolutely nuts and hyperactive before they do a poo? Bickie has always done it. She'll be all nice and calm and suddenly start jumping on the furniture, tearing around the house, biting and nipping etc. I take her outside, she tears around the yard for another 5-10 minutes going ballistic, jumping on me as she runs past etc. Then she'll do a poo and settle down again happily. She doesn't seem upset or in pain while she's running around, just in that crazy puppy mania they get. I haven't mentioned it to the vet but I'm wondering if I should or if it's just normal puppy behaviour? I don't remember any of our puppies doing it before, but she is quite different to any other dog I've had! She's my third labrador but such a one of a kind puppy!

Ha ha! My dog goes nuts after he's done a poo! He'll do No 2 then tear around the backyard like a crazy think for a few minutes! I've always just assumed it's normal??

My Lab carries on a bit if there is some 'urgency' involved. But no, no zoomies. Mind you, she's 12yo so doesn't really zoom anymore. But now that you mention it, youngest dog tends to do a bit of a crazy run before selecting a spot for her business....

Ours go nuts afterwards, but rarely before - only if they're inside and need to get outside!

Yes! My dogs often will go a bit nuts when it's time to go out - their favourite is to wrestle each other I guess they know this almost always results in them being put outside as it's not 'inside' behaviour, so maybe they figure it's the quickest way to tell us it's time to go! Then once outside they run around madly trying to find the 'best' spot, but only when they really need to go, so usually it's just one of them rushing around while the other one wanders about browsing the grass. As puppies the urgency is almost always there, so it might settle with age? And at least you have a really good signal that it's time to go - beats the quiet accidents on the floor!
