Hi,
Both on sale at Target this week for $99. Can someone recommend either one? Which one should I get? TIA This post has been edited by Marah'smom: 18/01/2013, 01:41 PM |

I can't see the Brightstarts one in the catalogue?
We got a Spacesaver one but haven't used it yet. |

It wasn't in the catalogue but I saw it in the store as I was leaving, now I'm wondering whether that one is better.
Need help for a 6 week old who just doesn't want to sleep! |

Did you buy the Fisher Price one?
I just found the other one online but for us I think the Fisher Price will be better because it looks more stable and I have 3 other kids who may be around while the baby is in it, not that I'd leave the baby in it and leave the room. Hopefully you find a solution for your baby! |

If you can afford another $50 I would go the Fisher-Price Love U Zoo Cradle And Swing the full sized one. It does the side to side swing as well as the head to toe swing. I got a secondhand one and it was hands down the best thing we ever bought! Saved my sanity.
My DS fell asleep with the side to side motion, and was happily entertained with the head to toe motion. This post has been edited by DMC_baby: 18/01/2013, 08:17 PM |

DMC_baby is that swing really big though? I liked the fact that the spacesaver one was supposed to be quite compact. I also read somewhere that the side to side motion puts them to sleep- so wondering why all swings don't have that direction rather ?

Hi OP, we live in a unit and I did not think that it was too big, it does collapse width wise not height wise and we could hide it behind the couch, although it was used most days for about 6 months!
The reviews i read at the time said that it was stabler than the smaller ones, which was a factor as DS was in the higher height and weight percentiles so we could use it for a few months longer - which we did! I am 22 weeks and will soon go and get it from the shed to make sure it is still in working order (otherwise will buy one of these on special). They need to be larger to be stable for the side to side motion This post has been edited by DMC_baby: 19/01/2013, 09:16 AM |

DMC-baby - I did look at that bigger one you are talking about too. Perhaps I should exchange mine for that one while the sale is still on? I don't need a small on for space, I just thought it might be more stable being shorter but if it's not the bigger one might be better? The someone who really needs the spacesaver can then buy mine.

This is the one I have http://www.productreview.com.au/p/fisher-p...adle-swing.html
from what I can gather it is just a different theming As one of the reviews say, it swings a bit fast at first while the baby is so light, but we put a blanket trailing from the basket to the floor to help slow it, until he plumped up |
