Taking the brush that you use to clean your dishes with and scrubbing the dirty bathtub with it... and then returning it to the kitchen sink.

DH just did this and apparently because I told him it was terribly unhygienic and threw it out, I was over-reacting and/or picking on him. Actually, that's only because I told him it was terribly unhygienic, he doesn't know I threw it out yet.

I may or may not show him this thread.

Are you married to my husband? That's exactly the kind of thing he'd do.

Not the worst thing in the world, no...but ick. I'd chuck it out too.

Con Sprezzatura.
I wouldn't do it, but I also wouldn't throw the brush out. I'd probably pour boiling water over it, though.

Not something I would do but I think your kitchen sink has more germs. I would probably steal the sink scrubber and use it in the bathroom but then throw it away but I would never do the reverse.

I think that's gross. I hate when I see people wipe a spill on the kitchen floor with the same cloth they are using for the dishes too.

Gross! My kids pee in the bath every night... Even if there aren't necessarily more germs (I don't know the science), just the thought would turn me off.

Anything living on the brush should be killed off by the hot, soapy water you use to wash your dishes so I think you may have just gone slightly overboard with this one.

Ask him if you can use HIS toothbrush to clean the toilet and put it back in his toothbrush holder, hey if he doesn't know about it, it not wrong going by his theory. roll2.gif

So wrong! I use a disposable chux to clean the bathroom or a specific bathroom cloth. Kitchen sponge stays in kitchen. My DH almost had a heart attack when his mum wiped up a floor spill with it. So no he would never do it.

Plus I use bathroom cleaners when cleaning the bathroom and I wouldn't like them to be on my sponge for the kitchen.
