Hi Ladies

Thank goodness I found this website - was such a blessing to get advice from everyone about everything - especially when we were TTC.

Ok so my last AF started on 18/12/12.....and I took my first pregnancy test on Monday which was a BFP (i have since taken 4 more tests, all BFP, I don't think i will ever get sick of seeing those 2 lines! haha)

I went and got blood tests and from my calculations i should be around 4 weeks and 3 days.
Dr called back yesterda saying my HcG levels were at 146, so definitely pregnant, but a little low for the dates I should be.

I am going back on Saturday to have more bloodwork done and hopefully my levels have doubled since then and we can get a more accurate reading.

My symptoms so far: veiny and very painful boobs, and weird cramping in my abdomen day and night......thats about it so far.

I am so excited to be prengant, but I am so fearful that everything that can go wrong, will go wrong. I just can't wait untli the 12 weeks are over and we are out of the danger zone!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations!

I am in the same boat as you, found out this morning.

Although mine was a bit of a surprise. DH and I have been recently discussing our desire to become pregnant within the next year .... formulated all these savings plans, health plans etc to prepare ourselves. Now bam! It's all happening a bit sooner than expected!

I'm excited, but a little sad also as I am quite overweight, and I always planned to lose weight before becoming pregnant. I'm really worried about how the pregnancy will progress and whether or not my reckless ways will now put my health and/or the baby's health at risk.

I will book a GP appt very soon to discuss these things.

In the meantime, I will try to absorb the news.

Haha well it was a bit of a suprise for DH and I aswell - I had only just gone off the BCP last month and I had said to DH it won't happen straight away, so may as well stop taking it now and then we can be ready in a year for our BFP or however long it takes.

Meanwhile - the very next month we get our BFP haha

So I have had the blood work confirmed - when should I next have my doctors appointment? And is it with a regular GP, or should I make the appointment with my GP?

Hi rowbi123, congratulations on your BFP.

I've never had any blood tests, I just saw my OB at about 10 weeks with DD, and I will do the same with this pregnancy.

At this stage you need to work out whether you're going public or private. I don't know much about the public system, but if you are going private you'll need to book in with an OB quickly as many book out by about 6 weeks (crazy I know). Speak to your GP for some recommendations and he/she can give you a referral.

Hi rowbi,
I just found I'm pregnant as well!!!! I'm one day a head of you!!! And I just joined this. Forum today.
I also have strange cramps in my lower stomach.
I had blood tests yesterday and picked them up today and my level is 470.
