If a womens work is never done, Why start?
I need the brains of EB to help me with this.

DH and I didn't have a honeymoon and always said for our 10 wedding anniversary we would do something special then.

If you had $3000-$4000 to spend, no children, couldn't get on a plane (DH will not agree to flying) and wanted to go somewhere of 5-10 days where would you go.

I have suggested a cruise which he didn't immediately object to. However he has suggested camping on Fraser Island. You can see the extremes we are dealing with here lol rolleyes.gif

My ideal would be relax, day spas, cocktails by water.
His ideal would be a boat, fishing, and beer!

So where would you go? And what would you do?

Where are you leaving from ? That would help narrow it down.

What about a driving trip to Byron Bay ? Dayspas there for you, fishing charters for your DH. And not too far to drive to the Gold Coast if you to venture even further ?

The kingfisher bay resort on Fraser Island is not too bad, instead of camping.

I see if i could find a little lodge somewhere near a lake (i'm thinking lake's entrance VIC or somewhere in the snowy's, he could fish, whilst you were being pampered...

no idea if any exist though.

Rather inclined to giggle. Doesn't put things away.
If he wants Fraser Island, you could always stay at the Kingfisher Bay Resort. He can go off and do a few tours some days while you relax by the pool.

ETA Snap!

Your DH sounds like my DH! though he will get on a spa, we actually spent part of our honeymoon fishing! the compromise was 2 weeks in a beautiful resort after mind you.

That kingfisherbay looks beautiful! we looked at Lord Howe Island one year (was cheaper to go overseas) but I think the only way is by plane (you maybe able to go by boat I don't know)

The idea of camping doesn't really bother me - we have a camper trailer and a pretty good set up. But I would like to do the resort thing or at least feel like I was.

MrsLexiK - I was googling lord Howe island last night, it looks beautiful! But very exxy. I have found cheaper cruisers. cool.gif

King fisher bay looks lovely!

I love Lakes Entrance, so beautiful down that way.

Off to google Port Stephens. Or maybe port Douglas???

Hmmm so many options...
