Okay so I came across some names that DH hasn't said no to original.gif

What are your thoughts on the names Yasmin or Yvonne for our baby due in 3 wks...
We don't know if it's a boy or girl but would like to be prepared wink.gif

Also it would be a sibset to Daphne and I would like a one syllable middle name to go with it...

Please help original.gif

With Daphne, I like Yvonne. If you are looking for a Y name, what about Yvette? I also like Daphne and Heather together.

I love Yasmin and have an (adult) friend by this name who is a lovely, peaceful, gorgeous woman!

I just thought I'd pass on a story - the lady who made my sister's wedding dress was called Yvonne and I always recall her telling us that when people asked for her first initial (for forms, or legal paperwork etc) and she said "Y", she always got irritated looks (people thought she was asking "Why?"). It just came to mind when I saw the two "Y" names!

Good luck choosing...

Don't crowd Sir Walter, Edmund.
I prefer Yasmin of the two.

I love Yvonne, I have a very special Auntie(cousin really) with that name.

Truth be told she is 99/100 times called Bonnie but still!

Wow single sylable girls names are hard! All I can come up with are:

Maeve
Maude
and the ever present Jane...

I really like your style. Either would go well. Maybe Yasmin just a touch better. Assuming that you don't mind either way the sisters both being 'florals'.
