I have a work trip coming up in a little while, and there are a few dinners etc planned .

One of the nights is a bit of a theme night where we have to dress in red and gold ( we will be in Asia. - so they are probably think oriental style theme).

However........ I am hopeless! I am not a fan of clothes shopping, I seem oblivious to what clothes on the rack would suit me IYKWIM?

So, I need you to dress me for this theme night. I am a size 18 , a c-cup, and if I wasn't over weight I would be a regular hourglass figure ( if that's how you describe it?) I.e. shoulders and hips same width with a waist. However, with my excess weight I do have a tummy and thighs. I have found that a Scoop neckline probably tends to suit me......I am open to wearing anything pretty much -trousers, dress etc

Have I given you enough info?........

Go forth and dress me!

How awesome is that dress ?! Great choice loving mother, and not something I would have picked off a rack thinking that I would like. It has all the features I need - scoop neck, accentuating waist , and capped sleeves .................. But they don't have any left in my size ! Waaaaaaah! I was about to add it to my cart ASAP, oh well, I am off to google other dresses like that as well.

And I like your choice in jewellery as well. That would have all been perfect ( apart from the fact that I have larger hands that tend not to fit into many of the rigid bangles. Combine that with size 11 feet, and I am a shopping nightmare!

Mum of girls
I'm almost as tall as you, sound mostly the same except I've got a bigger bust sad.gif
If you sew, you can also buy fabric and make a dress.
Depending on where you go in Asia, seamstresses can be excellent, and cheap. I have a couple of very good ones, scattered through places, if you specify where you're off to.

Jackets: for cooler nights, can be worn over black camisole and skirt/pants to dress it up a little.
Kimono-ish jacket
boxy jacket
black and gold shrug to be worn with red dress

Dresses:
to hide a thousand sins
I have this in 3 colours, very flattering on
red bandage style if you're confident/have good support undies
nice for evening events
red dress

Tops:
looks loose and floaty for hot days
loose red top - looks comfy
red and black

OK - if you like the skater dress, I'm off to find more exciting things

asos.com have a range called curve which usually has a heap of those skater style dresses, only thing I would suggest is check the length in the description, sometimes they are REALLY short!

The site also lets you search by size and colour which might be handy.

red and gold dress
Not really my style, but does meet the red/gold thing pretty well.

ETA - this red one - a plus size friend looks amazing in dresses like this as she likes to show off her waist and bust.

ETA - City Chic skater dress on ebay

Oh and I am off to Hong Kong, for the pp that asked. I arrive late afternoon, and the red and gold night is that evening, so I wont have a chance to get anything there for the night.
