Our FS says it doesn't make a difference and I am up and out of there pretty much as soon as I run out of things to talk about with the FS after transfer.

I've heard other clinics require you to lie down for a while (20-30 mins) after an emby transfer.

What does your clinic do???

They didn't tell me to lay down afterwards or anything, but did recommend I didn't go to work later (nurse on night shift). I just spent lots of time on the couch anyway, didn't stop me from being a bit paranoid.

For IUIs, I had to lie down for 15 -20 mins but for IVF transfers, just 5. But I went home and went to bed for the rest of the day

Just had my first IVF transfer at MIVF.
FS had me out of there as soon as it was done.
I was initally worried but after reading up, it seems it makes no difference. I even read some studies were it seem to offer a very slight benefit.

my clinic also said to get right up and carry on as usual except not to lift anything over 5kgs and not do exercise above a walk until the blood test.

Im currently 28 weeks, so it was ok for me!

I was up and out of there within about 10 seconds following transfer. I went straight back to work afterwards (office job).

I got my BFP so it worked out fine for me.

The fertility doctor had told me on a previous visit that there was no need to rest or lie down as he assured me that the embryo is nestled in your endometrium and can't fall out.

Did IUI and IVF at MIVF. Always got up straight away.

2 out of 3 transfers have ended up in babies.

Mirror, mirror, shiny glass, tell me that is NOT my ass!!
Wow that is suprising how different clinics are.

With IUI I had to lay down for 20 mins afterwards.

With transfers I shuffle from one bed to another bed and then wheeled into the recovery room to lay down for 30 mins. I don't get up at all with transfers. With both transfers (fresh and FET) I had 'success' of sorts - see my sig.
