Costs a fortune!
When it was time to say goodbye to dummies at 2, it was with the promise of a teddy.
Day toilet training was done with stickers and a "potty present" at the end of each day (in this case a small box with a pair of knickers, a $1 plush toy and a snake). She pushed that one out for 10 days.
This week we've successfully night trained. It's cost me interactive dinosaurs. One for the first night she used the potty, only had a bed bottle and woke with a dry bed in the morning. She got that dinosaur, no worries at all. She was very proud.
Cue the next moring, with those wide blue eyes and little chipmunk voice "Mummy I am dry again, I'd like a pink dinosaur!"
Daddy melts and says ok.
Same the next day. The kid is milking it.
I then tell her she has to have a dry night with NO bottle and wearing knickers to bed. In fact, the bottles have to go in the bin (she's been a bit of a bottle addicts since coming off the boob). That kid melted the tiles racing to the bin.
Another dinosaur.

I hope it means I can bribe her for good grades, good behaviour, getting rid of bad influences in friends and lovers... I can see this starting to get into the big leagues!
Do you have a bribable child?
And yes, clearly she's been a bit spoilt. No more dinosaurs. laugh.gif

Me too. He is so not extrinsically motivated. If I say he won't get the reward if he doesn't do x, he just says he doesn't want it. Sigh. Still trying to find his currency.

I used lollies to potty train DS1 for poo. Cut up a snake in to 5-6 little pieces, you'd think I'd given him a whole bag he was so excited ph34r.gif

I love having a bribable child. The key is only pulling out the bribe when you are desperate. Like cleaning poo out of underwear every day for two weeks straight! wink.gif
