I need some advice on which baby wrap is best for a really strong and wriggly baby. DS2 is now 3 months old. He's a big, strong baby and I'm having a very hard time keeping him wrapped at night. As a consequence, he's been waking around 5 times per night, sometimes more. He is already rolling from back to front.
I have tried wrapping with big muslin wraps (including double wrapping) and he gets his arms out within minutes. I have also tried the Baby Wrap Me Up by Love to Dream - the problem with this is that his hands are up near his face and the slightest touch of his hands against his cheek wakes him up. Any recommendations on wraps or sleep suits would be greatly appreciated. Anything that does not allow his hands to get up to his face would be best. I desperately need some sleep! Thanks in advance. |

my ds was lke this i just put extra clothes on - he hated anthing covering his feet or restricting his movement -at the moment at 22 months he is a slepp onthe floor he just like to be able to move and since we put in toddler bed about half the nights he sleeps on the floor.
I guess some kids hate been covered - i did use a sleeping bag thing during his first winter but it was extra big on the bottom so he was ok for a while i cant remember the brand as it was given to me |

You could try using a cot sheet - I've used them in the past with no problems.
Other thing i'd try is a "Miracle Wrap". HTH |

My DS has been an escape artist since day one.
Not even the nurses could keep him wrapped in hospital. Luckily I had gotten these sleeping gowns and he just sleeps in them. They have sleeves which fold over his hands to prevent scratches to his face. Enough room for him to move and freedom to wave his arms in the air like he just don't care. 100% organic cotton so breathable. On cooler nights or when we have the air con on I slip him in a singlet first. There is also a merino wool version. The best bit though, is that the bottom of the bag opens up so midnight nappy changes are a breeze http://www.naturebaby.com.au/sleeping-gown-p-2080.html |

My advice would be not to wrap him. You'll probably find he wakes up less.

I wrapped DD in muslin then put an ErgoCocoon over the top - I found the ErgoCocoon was a little too stretchy by itself, but the combination of the two wraps worked well. Keeps their arms down too so your DS wouldn't be able to touch his face.
