We're bursting at the seams with fluffy toys, most of which have never been played with. Do any charities accept them?

I have the same issue, its like they multiply during the night!

I was wondering if they could be donated anywhere to little kids who might need cheering up - hospitals or womens refuges or something, or is that a no no?

Many charities will not take them due to cleanliness concerns.

Walked past bags of them for sale at a Vinnie's store last week, so some must take them. My children have never been into them, so we've only kept a few sentimental ones and donated the rest to our local Salvos store.

I took a mixture of toys including some teddy bears to a centre for womens' shelters (Sydney). I have heard not all shelters accept toys or clothes but this centre were happy to update their toys.

She has also said she is happy to accept a yearly donation of them from us. I wish I could have seen the kids faces. original.gif
