Just came across this one while looking for gender prediction tests
"Although this test has been around forever, it is NOT recommended that pregnant women do it because of the toxic fumes that result (and the environment doesn't love it either). The test involves combining crystal Draino with a small amount of the mum-to-be's urine in a jar. There will be a chemical reaction immediately. If the mixture turns a dark brown, you are expecting a boy. If the mixture doesn't change colour, you are expecting a girl." Sounds scientific enough...... Wonder if I can convince DH to do it for me?! |

I wish I was pregnant just to give it a go, in the interests of science!

I've heard the same test done with bicarb.
I think it's as scientific as the ring test. |

Get someone who isn't pregnant to do it... (I would but we don't use Draino!)

Just looked it up Draino contains: sodium hydroxide (lye), sodium nitrate, sodium chloride (salt), and aluminum.
I don't think there is ANY scientific backing to say that those chemicals can tell the difference between the wee of a woman carrying a boy or the wee of a woman carrying a girl.. I'd use the ring test OP! |
