Our current ensuite is really old, it has a step to get inside. The new bathrooms I've seen don't have this step. Would it be really old fashioned if I keep the step in the new shower (changing the tiles, of course)? I'd like the new ensuite to have a clean and modern look.
Thanks. |

I think with modern tiling it would look fine. It's a great idea, I wish we had that in our shower.
ETA. What sort of step is it? I'm imagining step down, but there's lots of varieties in google. Here's a nice step down one http://st.houzz.com/fimgs/98c1c1ee0f8edd74...%20bathroom.jpg Or did you mean just a kind of a ledge? I think they are still really common, like this? http://st.houzz.com/fimgs/f6b19f240b7f06d0...%20bathroom.jpg I'm presuming you don't mean this, but I love it! http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-cnjkDMKF63M/TWBO...down+shower.JPG This post has been edited by CallMeAliG: 15/01/2013, 05:32 PM |

I meant the step like your second link. The new showers don't seem to have one. But I kind of like it because psychologically, it feels like water is going to remain inside the shower. I just thought it doesn't give a modern look.
