Oh, I'm doing that in two weeks for my birthday. wub.gif I booked it in six months ago and I can't wait!

When I told DH what I wanted to do he immediately asked, "what would you do in a hotel by yourself?" my response, "absolutely nothing".

Did I mention I can't wait? original.gif

I've found some cabin accommodation in the bush that gets me away from people and into the serenity of nature. I intend on sleeping-in till really late and look forward to a few meals on my own! I'm so excited!!!

ETA: this is only the second night I've had from my children since DS1 was born almost 4-years ago. My husband is not hands-on at all and never gets up to them, nor lets me have a sleep in, so this is a long time coming.

I do it regularly as a sanity maintenance thing. Usually just to the Gold Coast or to the Sunshine Coast.

It doesn't matter to me all that much where I go, just as long as it is pleasant and I get time out.

I think I'd go somewhere close enough to not spend all my time getting there and back.

Sunshine Coast
O'Reillys
A B&b

I could even just stay in the city a night or two and shop, go to museums etc ALL BY MYSELF

I'd book myself into a spa retreat for the maximum pamper package I could afford. Doesn't matter where it is- once I'm there I don't plan to leave the building biggrin.gif

night or 2, i'd run away to my best friends place (i'm in canberra, she's in wagga), and spend a girly weekend with her

any longer, and i'd go home to my parents place, and let myself be well and truly mollycoddled (and catch up with the people up there i care about the most)

Otherwise i'd just find a quiet out of the way place and settle in for a couple of nights

I'd be encouraging them to go and stay with friends/relatives for 2 nights and leave you to swan around in an empty house and only do what you want to do.

Shangri La hotel in Sydney. DH and I have stayed there a number of times for special occasions, and it's bliss. I'd spend loads of time asleep, reading in bed, having long lazy baths. If I felt like getting off my butt I'd go wandering around The Rocks, the harbour and the botanical gardens. I'd probably get a massage and a fair bit of room service, and spend a lazy afternoon in the downstairs bar drinking tea and reading.

Aaaaaaahhhhhhh. I think I might be trying to swing this for my birthday if DS has stopped breastfeeding by then biggrin.gif
